A water distribution system is a part of water supply systems that distribute clean water from centralised treatment plant or wells to consumers. By delivering water to satisfy residential, commercial, industrial and firefighting requirements in urbanised areas, water distribution systems are essential for making our cities livable.
This is a free, modular, self-paced course. Through four modules you will receive a general overview of MIKE URBAN+ and its advantages with a focus on learning the basic functions of MIKE URBAN+ Water Distribution (MU+ WD). Upon completion of the course, you will be able to set up and run your very first model in MIKE URBAN+ Water Distribution (MU+ WD).
You will be enabled to continue comfortably on the more in-depth course “A comprehensive course in water distribution modelling using MIKE URBAN+ Water Distribution”.

MIKE URBAN+ is DHI’s urban water modelling platform that helps you model all urban water systems, including water distribution, stormwater drainage, sewer collection in separate and combined systems as well as integrated urban flooding.

Katharina is a MIKE URBAN+ specialist based in Vienna, Austria. In addition to project support of urban flood and drainage projects, Katharina offers customers´ support based on local challenges. She is responsible for positioning MIKE URBAN+ on the market, for training materials and training.
Katharina is an authorised DHI trainer.

- Reliable internet connection of sufficient bandwidth
- Access to MIKE URBAN+ installed. DHI demo version is sufficient for the material covered in this course. Please register yourself and download a demo version for free here.
