MIKE OPERATIONS

The purpose of this modular, self-paced, online course is to give you a general introduction and understanding of MIKE OPERATIONS and the most important steps in the configuration and setup of an operational flood forecast system. Using MIKE OPERATIONS and MIKE HYDRO River the course brings you through seven modules starting with the acquisition of real-time data and ending with an automated flood forecast system.

The course includes illustrative software demonstrations supplemented by hands-on exercises using realistic data sets and public data sources.

About MIKE OPERATIONS

MIKE OPERATIONS is a software product designed for model-based forecast services and for online operational control of river systems, water collection systems and water distribution systems. MIKE OPERATIONS allows you to quickly and safely build simple real-time systems while offering flexible tools that help you deal with complexities within real-time modelling.

IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR ME?

This course is ideal for professionals like river basin authority, engineers and operational staff working with flooding control and mitigation, dam operators, or modellers who want to take their offline models into the online world. The course is also useful for students who wish to learn about operational flood forecasting. Regardless of her highly specialized scientific background in radar hydrometeorology, she thrives in the tension field between the different hydrological domain specialists, software developers and the business as a product owner. She is a strong believer in creating value through integration across various domains and have worked extensively with a variety of topics in the urban and inland water domains ranging from R&D activities to operational real-time systems.
